Our frisky feline friend.
Sky is not too sure of him yet...but he sure loves her
We are looking for help in naming him. So far the suggestions are (in no particular order):
- William of Orange
- Milk Dud
- Rusty
- Tangelo
- Symba
Progress on the house remains steady. The lack of photos is because current projects are not all that exciting. Moving electrical wiring is time consuming, but the end result does not look all that different. Thanks to Noel for all his help! I'll post some photos from wall demolition this past weekend sometime later this week.
Today, however, is a beautiful day so I will be working on outdoor projects this afternoon. On the list:
- Move all the lath we removed from the removed walls to the shed.
- Finish constructing compost bin #1.
- Patch in the grass that was removed by the snowplow and deposited elsewhere in the yard.
- Start cleaning up the sheds (anybody want a rusted mixer, old pop-top beer cans, or old bales of blow-in cellulose insulations?)
Hey! What about naming him "Butterscotch"! Wouldn't that just be the ultimate tribute to a feline friend of days gone by! He was the coolest outdoor/garage cat ever! :)
ReplyDeleteHi, Eric and Hannah! William of Orange is one of the best pet names I've ever heard. Johnny and I are flying with his family to Nebraska in November for a Huskers game - we're so excited! Jon's dad didn't cry at his daughter's wedding, didn't shed a tear at his son's wedding, but when we gave him home-game Huskers tickets for his 60th birthday, the man full-on wept. This place must be pretty special :)
ReplyDeleteI can't help with a name, because all the cats that I had growing up (many of them on the farm - my dad always said, too many)were named "kitty". When we called kitty they all came running for the fresh warm milk we put in the trough. Good luck on the naming.
